Matt Reimer

Assistant Coach

Matt Reimer is entering his 14th season as a full-time assistant coach for the Huskies and serves as the recruiting coordinator and director of operations and player personnel. Reimer also served for two seasons as a graduate assistant coach under Butch Raymond in 1995-96 and 1996-97, bringing his overall experience with the Huskies to 16 seasons.     

Prior to SCSU, Reimer served as an assistant basketball coach at New London-Spicer High School for four seasons. He was involved with many other athletics; coached football and baseball, and was the head boys and girls golf coach.        

He graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa, where he played basketball for two years and was also a member of the Dutch golf team.  Reimer played his prep basketball in Elkader, Iowa, where he was the captain of the 1987 Class 1A State runner-up basketball team. 

Reimer completed his master's in athletic administration in 1997.  Reimer, his wife Tracy, and daughters Brittany and Kitri, reside in Annandale.

Dan DeWitt

Assistant Coach

Dan DeWitt begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Huskies in 2011.

DeWitt played collegiate basketball at Northern State University under former Coach Don Meyer, the current NCAA all-time wins leader. In four years at Northern State, DeWitt helped his team accumulate a record of 98-27. This span includes an NSIC Conference Tournament championship, three NCAA Division II National Tournament appearances, including two trips to the North Central Region Championship Game, and a record of 29-4 his senior year. DeWitt finished sixth all-time in assists and was a four time NSIC academic All-Conference team member.

Prior to arriving at SCSU, DeWitt spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of Minnesota under current Coach Tubby Smith.

DeWitt graduated from Northern State University in 2009 with degrees in Finance, Economics and Mathematics. He earned his Master's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota in 2011. Dan and his wife Laura reside in St. Cloud.

Jon Roesch

 

Volunteer Assistant Coach

Jon Roesch is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the SCSU in 2011.

Roesch comes to St. Cloud with 19 years of teaching high school mathematics, while coaching high school basketball four 14 of those seasons. He spent four years as the head men's coach at Montgomery-Lonsdale High School before moving on to take the head coaching position at Sauk Rapids for 10 seasons.

His 2002-03 Sauk Rapids team finished the season as the runner up in the Class 3A state title game. Roesch also was named Class 3A Coach of the Year in the same season.

Roesch's hometown is Dawson, Minnesota. He attended Fergus Falls Community College before finishing his degrees in mathematics-secondary education/coaching at the University of Minnesota-Morris. He then received his Masters in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota.

He and his wife Julie reside in Sauk Rapids with their three daughters.
