2009-10: Played 74 minutes in 13 games for the Huskies in 2009-10...made 6-of-18 shots from the field…made four  three-pointers…grabbed 25 total rebounds, dished out two assists, and had three blocks and two steals defensively…grabbed first rebound of his SCSU career vs. Upper Iowa, 12/05/09...scored six points and grabbed a career-high seven rebounds vs. Judson University, Dec. 16...blocked a career-high two shots vs. the University of Sioux Falls, Dec. 29...was perfect in making 3-of-3 shots from beyond the arc vs. Bemidji State, Feb. 16 to score a career-high nine points.

Before SCSU: Played one season for Hutchinson Community College (Kansas)…started as a freshman for a 20-12 squad… average eight points and five rebounds a game in one of the toughest junior college conferences in the country.

High School: 2008 graduate of Jefferson West High School…coached by David Overstreet…gained four total letters in high school in basketball and track & field…averaged 15.5 points and eight rebounds per game as a senior…three-time Big 7 All-League team and three time 4A Honorable Mention All-State team.

Personal: Son of Ken and Jane Shirley of Grantville, Kan…lists his brothers as the people with the greatest influence on his athletic career… …majoring in pre-physical therapy at St. Cloud.
