Prior to SCSU: 2006 graduate of Viborg (SD) High School...four-year letterwinner in basketball and three-year letterwinner in track and field...averaged 14 points, 12 rebounds, four blocked shots, and two assists per game as a high school senior...three-time All-Tri Valley Conference selection...two-time team MVP...First-Team All-Conference and All-State as a senior...team won back to back undefeated conference championships...listed among Who’s Who in Sports...YMCA Athlete of Character Award Winner...academically strong, Ver Heul is the class Valedictorian and is a National Honor Society member...other awards include U.S. Achievement Academy in Math and English, Voice of Democracy Award, Governor’s Leadership Awrd, Boty’s State, Regent Scholar.

Personal: Born on Oct. 21, 1987...named to SCSU Dean’s List in the fall of 2006 and spring of 2007...son of Annie and Greg Ver Heul of Viborg, SD.
