2008-09: Senior season … team captain … played in 30 games and started all 30 … one of only two players to start every game they played in (Witt) … finished second on the team playing 851 total minutes for an average of 28.4 minutes per game … one of only two players over 800 minutes … posted career highs with 5.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game … led the Huskies and posted a career high with 45 (1.5 spg) steals … was second on the team with a career high 60 assists (2.0 apg) … also swatted 13 blocks (0.4 bpg) … shot .399 (61-of-153) from the field, .194 (6-of-31) from three-point range and .769 (50-of-65) from the free throw line … posted career highs in field goals, three-point field goals, and free throws made and attempted … on Dec. 12, tied the SCSU single game record, and tied four others for the NSIC season high, with six steals against MSU Moorhead … dished out a career high five assists on Nov. 28 … attempted a career high 12, and made a career high eight free throws on Jan. 24 … in conference games only ranked 5th in the NSIC in steals (1.60 spg), 14th in blocks (0.65), and 24th in minutes played (28.10 mpg) … in all games ranked 6th in the NSIC in steals (1.50 spg) and 19th in minutes (28.37 mpg) … led the Huskies in rebounds in four games … led in assists in five games … ended his career scoring 11 points in the Central Regional first round game, all of which came in the second half as the Huskies mounted their comeback.

2007-08: Junior season...appeared in 27 games and started 15 seeing 19.6 minutes/game...scored 4.7 points/game, grabbed 3.2 rebounds/game, tallied 27 assists, 11 steals and eight blocks...shot .432 (48-111) from the field, .308 (4-13)  from behind the arc and .788 (26-33) from the charity stripe...third on team in offensive rebounds with 37...sixth on team in total rebounds with 87...among players with over 25 free throw attempts, .788 tally was third best on team...hit double figures three times including season high 16 on 2/9 in 75-87 home loss to Minnesota State, while also pulling down seven rebounds...grabbed career high nine rebounds on 12/29 in 89-67 home win over Minnesota, Crookston...on three occasions saw over 30 minutes of game action including a season high 33 on 12/20 in a 68-82 road loss to Southwest Minnesota State...in second game of the season on 11/17 went a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line in 77-61 home win over U-Mary.

2006-07: Carmichael started the last five games of the season for the Huskies...scored a career high 18 points against USD on Feb. 24 and sent the game into overtime with his three-point basket...played in 20 games as he was limited by injury.

2005-06: Redshirt season.

Prior to SCSU: Transferred to SCSU from the University of New Haven...averaged 18 minutes per game in playing time last season and 2.9 points and three rebounds.

High School: 2003 graduate of St. Cloud Apollo High School...attended and played basketball at DeLaSalle High School from 2000 to 2002...named Tri-Metro All-Conference and Conference MVP...All-Conference Honorable Mention at Apollo in 2003... attended Notre Dame Prep School during the 2003-04 school year...averaged nine points and nine rebounds on a team that posted a 34-7 record and finished as the second best prep school in the country.

Personal: Born on Sept. 19, 1984...son of Vanessa and James Carmichael of Elk River...graduated in July, 2008 with a degree in political science and minor in marketing...currently enrolled in graduate studies working towards his M.B.A.
