FIRST ANNUAL!!!
Starz of Tomorrow Wood Bat Fall Baseball League
The first annual Starz of Tomorrow Prospect Camp will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 16. The Starz of Tomorrow Prospect Camp will be held at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud, Minn., an
d it will be the start of the brand new Husky Wood Bat Fall League.
The Starz of Tomorrow Prospect Camp is intended for the student-athlete in grades 9-12, who is interested (and planning) on playing baseball at the collegiate level. The Starz of Tomorrow Prospect Camp will also include a scrimmage.
This event will kick-off the first annual Husky Wood Bat Fall League, which is the first fall wood bat league of its kind in the St. Cloud area. The league will emphasize the fundamentals of the game, and it is designed to help players in grades 7-12 hone their skills.
The league will offer two seperate leagues (Minor League, grades 7-9 and Major League, grades 10-12). Each team in the league will play eight games between Aug. 16 and Sept. 28, at selected locations throughout Central Minnesota. Game times will be during the mornings and afternoons
All teams will be limited to just 12 players, so everyone is guaranteed plenty of playing time - and an opportunity to play at various positions. Certified umpires from the Central Minnesota Umpire Association will be used during league games. Game jerseys and pants will be provided for each participant in the league.
The cost for the fall league is $125 per person. The cost for the Starz of Tomorrow Prospect Camp is $50 per person. A special rate of $150 is also available if you would like to compete in the fall league and attend the Starz of Tomorrow Prospect Camp. If you would like to play in the fall league, a mandatory organizational meeting will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 16, at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud.
Participants may also enter the fall league as an organized team. For more information on how to register as a team, or for more information on the fall league of Starz of Tomorrow Prospect Camp, please call Pat Dolan at 320-333-3336. You can also e-mail him at pldolan@stcloudstate.edu
