2009: Will serve as a team captain in 2010...Scott was the team leader with a team record nine pitching wins in 2009...NSIC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 17, 2009...posted 9-3 record in 2009 with 4.72 ERA, 49 strikeouts and only 58 hits allowed in 55.1 innings of work...allowed just one hit in six innings of work during 4-1 victory over Missouri Southern on Feb. 14, 2009...started season with a 7-0 record and also posted NSIC wins over Concordia and Northern State in 2009...hit season-high with seven strikeouts against rival Minnesota State on May 2, 2009.

2008: Broke the SCSU record for starts in a season with 13…twirled complete games in three of first five starts on the season…struck out nine in consecutive appearances against Peru State on February 23 and March 7 against Malone…earned first save vs. Bemidji State on March 27…played for the Rochester Honkers over the summer in the Northwoods League, compiling a 2-6 record with 45 strikeouts in 63 innings pitched…

PRIOR TO SCSU: Played two seasons at the University of Nebraska…made one appearance in 2007 season…member of Big XII Commissioners Honor Roll in 2006…

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four times for coach Frank Ivancich on the diamond…was a two-time All-Conference selection and Area Player of the Year as a senior…went 18-1 over his last two seasons of American Legion baseball…earned a combined eight letters in basketball (5) and football (3)…was a two-time All-State selection and four-time All-Conference pick on the court, becoming only the 11th player in Minnesota High School history to score more than 2,000 points and grab over 1,000 rebounds…

PERSONAL: Son of Bill and Martha Scott…a 2005 graduate of Ely H.S….was an honor roll and National Honor Society member in high school…says beating Jackson in the Amercian Legion State Tournament his senior year was his greatest sports thrill…gives his father as greatest influence on his career…a biomedical science major.
