2011: In 46 games, Rindelaub batted .309 with 18 runs and 29 hits...also posted three doubles, one homer and 13 RBIs at the plate...in the field, Rindy had 64 assists and 48 putouts...enjoyed six multi-hit games during the 2011 season...charted two three-hit performances against UMC in 2011...named to 2011 All-NSIC Academic squad.
2010: Made 43 starts and played in 52 games at shortstop as a redshirt freshman...went to the plate 124 times...recorded a .323 batting average with 40 hits...scored 29 runs for the Huskies...posted six doubles, two triples and the first homerun of his collegiate career...drove in 23 runs for SCSU...drew 16 walks and carded 53 total bases...stole five bases...recorded a team-high 87 assists defensively...also had 52 putouts and a .903 fielding percentage...named to the NCAA Division II Regional All-Tournament team.
2009: A redshirt athlete at SCSU in 2009.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-time letter winner for Cathedral…was a two-
time All-Conference and All-Area selection…two-year captain…played in Lion’s All Star Game…over three-year HS career, he compiled a .401 average, 101 hits, 61 runs, 64 RBI and six home runs...starred on the hockey team as well, earning three letters…two-time All-Conference and All-Area pick…earned a spot on Minnesota State All-Tournament Team…compiled three more letters in football, collecting an Honorable Mention All-Conference and All-Area award…named Special Team’s Player of the Year and Offensive MVP for the team…on the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: The son of George and Mary Ann Rindelaub…a 2008 graduate of St. Cloud Cathedral High School… says his dad has had the most influence on his career…his best sports experience was taking fourth in the 2008 state hockey tournament and winning the state high school championship in baseball in 2007…enjoys being with friends and coaching outside of baseball…majoring in accounting and sports management...on Dean's List and Athletic Honor Roll at SCSU.
COACHES' TAKE: "A talented left-handed hitting infielder who gained experience in the program by red-shirting the 2009 season. Steve has a great glove and a very strong and accurate arm. He will play a key role in our infield during the 2011 season."
