HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of St. Cloud Cathedral High School, where he played under coach Bob Karn…a three-time letterwinner in baseball…named All-Conference as a junior and senior…2010 conference MVP…made the 2010 All-State Lion’s All-Star game…lettered three times in hockey…was named the 2009-10 St. Cloud Times Player of the Year…All-State honorable mention…three-time All-Conference…two-time All-Area team member.
PERSONAL: The son of Joseph and Amy Maiers of St. Cloud…lists his father as having the greatest influence on his career…named playing in back-to-back state hockey tournaments in 2008 and 2009 as his greatest sports thrill…enjoys playing hockey, fishing and playing ping pong as his favorite activities outside of baseball…named Carl Crawford as his favorite sports personalities…majoring in sports and recreation management at SCSU.
