Fall League Rules
Starz of Tomorrow Fall Baseball League
“PLAYING THE GAME THE WAY IT OUGHT TO BE PLAYED!”
- Have FUN!
- Hustle! (Seven second “in & out rule!)
- Our fall league is centered around having fun and player development and NOT competition. We will keep score, but winning games isn’t the priority!
- T-shirts tucked in and hats on the right way!
- Each player will have two t-shirts. The home team (listed first on the schedule) will wear the white jersey and take the first base dugout.
- No arguing with umpires, coaches, or players!
- No use of tobacco products!
- No throwing gloves, bats, or helmets!
- Be on time. Most games will start at 10:00am. Form run/stretch will start @ 9:00am! Infield @ 9:30am. (See schedules for specific fields/directions)
- The Minor League, grades 7-9 will play all their games at Whitney Baseball Complex. There are three 90’ bases and three 80’ bases. Coaches, when playing games on the 80’ bases try to have your 7th graders pitch.
- The Major League will have fields in various locations in Central Minnesota; Sauk Rapids, St. Cloud, Cold Spring, Avon, Freeport.
- Each team will play 10 games on these dates: Saturday’s August 23, September 6, 13, 20, 27. Games will begin at 10am. If rain is an issue the games will be moved to Sunday’s. Please check you emails at 7:30am the day of for rain out information. If you don’t receive an email the games are on.
- Each date teams will play 2-7 inning games or two hours in length, whichever comes first, unless the first game is a one run game going into the 7th inning. There will be a 10 minute break between games. Coaches have your 2nd game pitcher warmed up.
- All players will play equal time. A player won’t sit on the bench for two straight innings.
- All players will hit in the line-up.
- An inning will end when a team scores 5 runs.
- We will try to keep 12-13 players per team. If a team shows up with less than 9 players an opponent’s player will be moved over.
- No pitcher will throw more than 4 innings, unless the team doesn’t have any other pitchers.
- Players will be expected to help shag foul balls on their side of the field.
- Players and coaches need to help clean up the field and dugouts after games.
- Umpires will be used for all games.
- Players please name tag your own equipment. Baum Bats will be supplied and wood bats will be available for sale at a discounted cost.
- Parents are welcome to watch as fans. Please stay positive.
- Any questions, comments, and/or concerns should be directed to Coach Dolan at pldolan@stcloudsate.edu or (320) 333-3336.
