2011: Redshirt at SCSU in 2011.
2010: Made 17 appearances on the mound in relief for SCSU...posted a 1-1 record...pitched 7.1 total innings...gave up 12 hits and struck out five batters...got his first collegiate win and pick off in an 11-8 victory over Augustana (4/17/10).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Osseo High School and a transfer from Des Moines Area C.C...earned two letters in football and helped Osseo win back-to-back conference titles...in baseball, Kissell earned four varsity letters and gained All-Conference Honorable Mention notice in 2008...posted a 13-5 record and a 2.49 ERA in high school...helped his travelling baseball team go to nationals in back-to-back seasons.
PERSONAL: Son of Mike and Sue Kissell of Plymouth...enjoys fishing, pick-up hockey and basketball...on honor roll for three years in high school...published two poems during his sophomore year in high school.
COACHES' TAKE: “Jamie was a solid relief specialist for us in 2010 vs. left-handed hitters. He was a redshirt at SCSU in 2011, and we look forward to his return this spring.”
