2011: A 2011 All-NSIC selection, Benke played and started in 49 games for the Huskies...posted a .318 batting rate with 43 runs and 54 hits for the Huskies in 2011...added 12 doubles, three triples and six homers along with 47 RBIS...272 putouts in the field and only one error for the Huskies...named to 2011 NSIC All-Tournament squad...cranked out four RBIs and one homer in NSIC tournament win over Augustana in 2011...had 14 multi-hit games for the Huskies in 2011...a team captain.
2010: Started in all 58 games this season for SCSU...was named NCAA Division II Central Region All-Tournament Team after recorded 15 hits and posting a .577 average during the tournament...named to the Daktronics All-Region Second Team and NSIC All-Tournament Team...earned NSIC All-Conference Second Team honors...set a school record for most doubles in a career with 34...posted single season school records in at-bats with 215, runs scored with 84 (6th nationally), doubles with 25 (7th nationally), triples with eight (4th nationally), total bases with 172 (8th nationally) and extra base hits with 46...finished the year second on the team with a .428 batting average...scored 84 runs...posted 92 hits...smashed 13 homeruns...drove in 66 runs...led the team with 33 walks...stole 13-of-15 bases successfully...second on the team with 253 putouts...finished the season with a .981 fielding percentage...had 31 multi-hit games...had a 19-game hitting streak from Feb. 27 to April 2...was held hit-less in just six games...went 15-for-28 with 16 runs scored, seven RBI and three homeruns in the NCAA Central Region Tournament.
2009: Benke pounded out 43 hits, 28 RBI and gained 32 runs in 
2009...also had nine doubles, three triples and five homers for the Huskies...for hitters with over 100 plate appearances in 2009, Benke led team in batting with .406 average...125 putouts with a .985 fielding rate...had six three-hit games in 2009, which included a three-game stretch vs. UMC and UW-S where he recorded three hits in each game...had two homers vs. Concordia April 11, 2009.
2008:: Redshirted in 2008.
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time letter winner at Roseau for head coach Tracy Wensloff...Conference MVP, All-State honoree and Lions All-Star participant in his senior year...three-time All-Section and All-Conference award winner…lettered three times in basketball…earned All-Conference and Co-Offensive Player of the Year awards his senior campaign.
PERSONAL: Son of Mike and Rosie Benke…2007 graduate of Roseau H.S….was an honor student in high school with a cumulative GPA over 3.5…describes greatest sports thrill as winning the consolation championship at the 2006 state high school tournament…cites Dick Vitale as favorite sports personality…says his father has had the greatest influence on his career…criminal justice major and sociology minor at SCSU.
