2011: Hansen eanred a 2011 NSIC Gold Glove award for his work in the SCSU outfield...selected in the 48th round (1,478th pick) of the 2011 Major League Baseball June draft by Cleveland...played in 54 games and had 54 starts for the Huskies...batted .318 with a team-leading 50 runs...also posted 67 hits, 14 doubles, three triples and 40 RBIs...13 stolen bases in 2011...carded 120 putouts in the outfield and a .984 fielding rate...had four hits and three runs in win at Minnesota State on April 1...enjoyed 20 multi-hit games in 2011.
2010: Started and played in 51 games in center field for the Huskies...batted .348 as the leadoff hitter...recorded 63 hits and scored 52 runs...posted 13 doubles, two triples and was third on the team with eight homeruns...drove in 43 runs...tabbed 104 total bases and a .575 slugging percentage...drew 29 walks and had a solid .444 on-base percentage...made 61 putouts in center...made just one error to post a .984 fielding percentage...went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two walks in his collegiate debut against Concordia (2/15/10)...recorded his first homerun against Mayville State (3/11/10)...had 15 multi-hit games including a 4-for-4 game against Northern State that including four runs scored, four RBI and a homerun...had his second day of perfection from the plate in a 5-for-5 game, scoring two runs,
while driving in four runs and connecting on a homerun
against Minnesota State in 16-6 win in game one of the NCAA Central Region Championship.
2009: A redshirt athlete at SCSU in 2009.
HIGH SCHOOL: Took home three letters in baseball…named to the All-Area Team and played in the Minnesota Lion’s All-Star Game…won team MVP honors and was named team captain…pulled down two letters in basketball…was an Honorable Mention All-Conference honoree…recorded two more letters in football, receiving an Honorable Mention All-Conference award…
PERSONAL: The son of Steve and Cathy Hansen…a 2008 grad of ROCORI High School…recreation and sports management major at SCSU...says his dad has had the most influence on his career…lists playing in the state baseball tournament in two consecutive years as his best moment in sports.
