Julie Alexander joined the St. Cloud State Sports Medicine staff in 1989 and became the Head Athletic Trainer in the summer of 1999. She oversees a staff that includes three full-time trainers, graduate assistants, and student assistants. Alexander is a 1980 graduate of St. Olaf College (Minn.) with a bachelor's degree in physical education and health education. She received a master's degree in physical education and athletic training from Indiana University. A native of Madison, Minn., Alexander is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and National Strength and Conditioning Association. Julie, her husband Peter, and daughters Katie and Annie reside in Cold Spring, Minn.
