Mathematics BS Student Learning Outcomes
Graduates from the undergraduate mathematics programs at St. Cloud State University will:
1. Demonstrate mastery of a body of mathematical knowledge.
2. Reason mathematically.
3. Apply mathematics to solve problems using analytic, graphing and numerical methods.
4. Communicate in the language of mathematics, both orally and in writing.
5. Demonstrate an understanding of the breadth of mathematics and the connections between mathematics and other disciplines.
6. Undertake individual, creative work.
In additions, BS graduates will:
7. Integrate an understanding of mathematics with an understanding of teaching.
