French B.S. Student Learning Outcomes

We base our learning outcomes on the language proficiency scale created by the American Council for Teachers of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).  The desired assessable learning outcomes of the French BS are mandated by the state:

  • Speaking at the Intermediate-High level on the ACTFL scale.
  • Writing at the Intermediate-High level on the ACTFL scale.
  • Listening at the Intermediate-High level on the ACTFL scale.
  • Reading at the Intermediate-High level on the ACTFL scale.
