SPRING 2008 UNIVERSITY ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE
1. Implement the values and ethics of the social work profession;
SW 216 – Ethics review, involving a talking circle of ethics understandings; results reported in number of students achieving “excellent, very good, good, poor”.
SW 340 – BEAP Values assessment; results reported in raw scores, mean scores, range.
SW 350 – Consent form for a research project; results reported in raw scores, mean scores, range.
SW 443 – Multiple Choice Test on ethics and values, 20 questions; results reported in raw scores, mean scores, range.
SW 445 - BEAP Values assessment; results reported in mean scores.
2. Practice generalist social work effectively at all levels, incorporating systems theory and integrating a strengths perspective;
SW 330 – Final examination; multiple choice and matching questions on the 8 textbook perspectives; results reported in raw scores, mean scores, range.
SW 340 – Term paper, item number 5 on the writing guide; results reported in raw scores, mean scores, range.
SW 410 – Reflection statements with regards to student’s portfolio project; three questions worth one point each; results reported in raw scores, mean scores, range.
SW 411 – Final examination: 2 short answers questions; results reported in raw scores, mean scores, range.
3. Practice without discrimination, and with respect, knowledge, and skills, related to clients’ age, class, color, culture, disability, ethnicity, family structure, gender, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, and sexual orientation;
