Community Development Student Learning Outcomes
- To teach students to fully comprehend the basic physical, social, and economic characteristics of urban, suburban, and rural communities, together with the key problems and issues facing these communities and strategies used by Community Development and Planning professionals to address these issues.
- To develop and refine basic skills essential to becoming a successful Community Development professional, such as interpersonal communications, oral and written communication, research, analytical, and teamwork skills.
- To prepare majors for an effective internship placement wherein the student will gain an applied Community Development professional experience that will assist their efforts to obtain a position upon graduation.
