Adjunct Faculty Pool
The art department maintains a pool of part-time faculty in all program areas: art history, art education, foundations, studio arts, new media and graphic design. Adjunct faculty are eligible to teach up to three-courses (9 credits) per academic year.
Qualifications:
Must be a practicing artist or designer as appropriate to field and previous teaching experience. Master's degree or equivalent required, terminal degree preferred (PhD, EdD, MFA as appropriate). K-12 experience required for art education. Demonstrated ability to integrate diversity and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Applications Include:
Letter of interest stating teaching philosophy, teaching experience and areas interested in teaching, resume, list of three references with phone numbers and e-mail addresses and 20 slides of work (CD with JPEG images acceptable) for art and design positions.
Materials remain on file; applications to the pool remain open. Members of the pool are contacted as needed on a term-to-term basis.
