Adjunct Faculty Pool
The Department of Art at St Cloud State University is renewing its pool of part-time faculty in all program areas: Foundations (Foundation Drawing I & II, 2D Design, 3D Design, Computer Studio, Critical Frameworks, Combined Media); Studio Arts and New Media (Ceramics, Drawing, Multimedia, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Video, Digital Tools, and Digital Tools for Artists); Graphic Design; Art History; Art Education.
Qualifications: practicing artist or designer as appropriate to field and previous teaching experience. Master’s degree or equivalent required, terminal degree preferred (PhD, EdD, MFA as appropriate). K-12 experience or equivalent required for art education. Demonstrated ability to integrate diversity and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Applications include: Letter of Interest (stating teaching philosophy, teaching experience, and areas interested in teaching), resume, copies of graduate transcripts, list of three current, professional references with phone numbers and e-mail address; 20 Images of Work (CD with JPEG images) for art and design positions.
Materials remain on file; applications to the pool remain open. Members of the pool are contacted as needed on a term-to-term basis. Three-course/10 credit cap per academic year.
