St. Cloud State University Art Department’s Kiehle Gallery will present an exhibition entitled Prints from Krakow from mid-February to early March of 2010. The show will feature nearly forty original prints by seventeen artists associated with the Academy of Fine Art in Krakow, Poland.

One of the artists in the show, Marta Bożyk, will be in St. Cloud for the first few days of the exhibition to speak about the works and Krakow’s rich heritage within the tradition of printmaking. Many of the prints, which arrived directly from Poland this past month, are quite large, and showcase a variety of techniques: from woodcut and lithography to etching and digital printing. They exhibit a range of strong graphic images with a mixture of the classic and the contemporary.

A list of artists follows:
Agata Pankiewicz, Roman Żygulski, Piotr Panasiewicz, Tomasz Daniec, Marcin Surzycki, Joanna Kaiser, Bogdan Miga, Krzysztof Tomalski, Tomasz Winiarski, Stanislaw Wejman, Krzysztof Świętek, Marta Bożyk, Agnieszka Łakoma, Lech Polcyn, Agnieszka Łukaszewska, Dariusz Vasina, Monika Niwelińska
