Irene VothIrene Voth

Project Manager
Voth joined the Applied Research and Development Center in November 2006 to fill a two-year leave of absence taken by Jennifer Grasswick (see Grasswick's entry below). Voth has an undergraduate degree in English and has taught high school language arts, including journalism. She earned a master's in English from SCSU in 1996, working as a graduate teaching assistant in the English department and as a journalist for the College of Science and Engineering. After graduation, she worked for 10 years as a professional journalist. She is also a licensed realtor.

Sherri HirningSherri Hirning

Supervisor of articulation project
Hirning joined the staff in the fall of 2007. A general biology major, she earned her first degree at Minnesota State University-Mankato, where she majored in elementary education. Hirning contributes to many ARDC projects, spending the majority of her working hours on the articulation project.

Christopher HoaChristopher Hoa

General office worker
Hoa is from Circle Pines, Minn. He joined the staff in the fall of 2007. A senior majoring in political science, he is also president of the Vietnamese Student Organization. Hoa contributes to many ARDC projects, spending the majority of his working hours on the articulation project.

Su Hoon TanSu Hoon Tan

Lead graphic design intern
Tan joined the Applied Research and Development Center in the summer of 2007. She is native to Malaysia and is a senior majoring in advertising. Tan undertakes the design and layout of the ARDC's large publication projects. She completed the new recruiting brochure in October, the RAS brochure in December, and is currently designing the new research publication, which will go to press in spring 2008. Afterward, she will begin the design and layout of the 2009 Dimensions.

John YehambaramJohn Yehambaram

Photojournalist
A graduate student majoring in history, Yehambaram has a journalism degree from Winona State and a history degree from SCSU. He joined the staff in late summer 2007, contributing copy and photos to the research and news publications and taking photos of faculty and staff for department Web pages.

Paras Bhujo Paras Bhujo

General Office Worker
A graduate student earning a master's degree in engineering management, Bhujo has an undergraduate degree in computer science. From Nepal, Bhujo joined the ARDC staff in February 2008 and works mainly with the articulation project.

Dale WilliamsProfessor Dale Williams

Director Emeritus, Applied Research and Development Center
As the associate dean, Williams' job included promoting the College of Science and Engineering. He did that in numerous ways, including articulating the college’s programs to community colleges and industries. He created the Applied Research and Development Center and served as its director for many years. After his retirement in June 2007, he continued to direct the center on a consultant basis.

Jennifer GrasswickJennifer Grasswick

Information Officer -- currently on leave and employed by the National Science Foundation
Grasswick joined the Applied Research and Development Center in the summer of 1998. She is interested in many areas of science and the biochemistry of human emotions. She earned her second undergraduate degree, a bachelor of elective studies with a major in chemistry, in spring 2005 from St. Cloud State University. Her first degree was a B.A. with a double major in philosophy and business economics from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 1988.
