Ours is the only alumni organization in the MnSCU system to host an individual booth at the Minnesota State Fair. More than 150 volunteers will distribute promotional items, including about 12,000 Blizzard fans and about 15,000 tattoos. Stop by and see us in the Education Building. View a fairgrounds map (PDF). Service opportunity: mentor a student through the school year
Register to mentor a student during the 2007-08 academic year. The Alumni Mentoring Program matches alumni with students. Alumni share insights on the skills, personality, temperament and work ethic required for specific career fields. More than 100 mentor/mentee matches were paired last year. Participants meet for on-campus events and remain in contact with their match throughout the year. Keynote speaker for the 2007 fall meeting will be Yvonne Kinney-Hockert '93. She is an alumni mentor and owner/founder of Alexandria, Minnesota-based Consulting Solutions. |
