Setting Study Goals - Learning Techniques for Tutors and Mentors
Before your next session you should always discuss some specific goals to accomplish. This sets a purpose for studying and practicing good study habits.
Some interactive goals might be
- Bring five questions from the chaper.
- Write down all the things your instructor does for emphasis during the lecture.
- Write down all the questions your instructor asks in class tomorrow.
- [Provide a handout or Internet site of your choice.] Teach me what was in the handout or Web site the next time we meet.
- Look at a Web site on ______________ and tell me about it.
- Make ten flashcards for the chapter.
