The Academic Learning Center's (ALC) mission is to provide study and reading assistance to students enrolled at St. Cloud State University to help them become more efficient and effective learners.

We offer assistance three different ways

• Courses (ALC Courses)
  We offer two 2-credit classes that have an instructional computer lab component as part of their academic program, Reading 110: Reading and Study Strategies and Reading 120: Power Reading, a general education course.
• Study Skills Tutoring (Study Skills Assistance)
  We offer individual tutoring in general study strategies, time management, and test taking.
• Computer Access (Computer Lab)
  We have a 30-station computer lab equipped with software programs on study strategies, vocabulary, and reading comprehension and rate, as well as Microsoft Office applications and internet connections. When not being used for our classes, our lab is open for general student use.
