Jim is responsible for the direction and management of the AIC. Together with the AIC staff, in addition to providing programs and services, they work on initiatives to increase recruitment, retention, and the development of new methods of access and success for American Indian students. Jim is completing his doctoral degree from St. Cloud State University in Higher Education Leadership. He is an enrolled member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, Manistee, MI.

Sheryl is from the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. In 2000, Sheryl obtained a Master’s degree in Human & Community Resources with an emphasis in Adult Education at UW-Stevens Point in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She has worked in the Education field for 14 years. Her mission has always been to assist all people to help reach their goals in life. She believes anything is possible when you put your mind to it!

Cara Grussing is a Graduate Assistant for the American Indian Center. She is pursuing an M.S. in College Counseling and Student Development. Before starting at St. Cloud State, she was an elementary and middle school teacher for three years. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris with a B.A. in Elementary Education.
