The American Indian Center strives to provide a supportive environment for Indian students socially, academically and professionally. The AIC offers a resource center focusing on American Indian issues, a computer lab with specialized assistance, and help with admission, financial aid, tutoring, housing, advising and career development.

Student Support Services
The American Indian Center strives to provide a supportive environment for Indian students at all levels of education to meet the educational goals they have set for themselves. Social, academic and professional opportunities are provided through planned activities.
Overall retention and success of American Indian students are enhanced by assistance in the admissions process, financial aid, personal concerns, tutoring, housing, academic advising and career development.
Services offered by the AIC include:
Referrals to appropriate St. Cloud State University agencies when necessary.
Each semester orientation is offered for all students to help them become comfortable in their new campus and city communities.
Services to Indian student organizations to enable students to become involved in student activities and to meet other Indian students.
Social activities are often co-sponsored with student organizations.
Seminars on a variety of subjects relative to college life and Indian life.

American Indian Center Scholarships
The American Indian Center has a large resource of scholarships. There are also five scholarships that the American Indian Center gives out annually. The AIC scholarship applications, including the two letters of recomendation, are due on April 7rd, 2008 at the American Indian Center. aic@stcloudstate.edu

Computer Lab
The AIC computer lab opened in the spring of 1997. The AIC computer lab offers IBM-compatible computers to further the academic achievement of American Indian students. The latest word processing, database, spreadsheet and graphics programs are available for student use. Printers are also available for assignments. Classes and workshops are also available to help students use these tools to their fullest capability.
Library & Resource Center
The Resource Library is becoming a regionally renowned resource center concentrating on American Indian history, literature, arts, culture, and languages. Included in the holdings are books, journals, periodicals, newspapers, audiotapes, videotapes, and manuscripts for the Resource Library located at the AIC. Assistance is available to all users of the library.
