First Year Students
An Advising & Registration Day (Advising Day) is required of all new first year students, and is your introduction to academics at St. Cloud State University.
New students admitted for summer and fall of 2012 will receive an invitation to sign up for an Advising Day in early March. Reservations are required for all students planning to attend an Advising and Registration Day.
Students planning to start during summer session will have the option of attending some special Advising Days in late April and early May.
Students planning to start during fall semester will have the option of attending one of our Advising Days in late May and early June. We also hold some make-up days in August.
On your Advising Day you will have the opportunity
to meet with staff and students who will be your guides. Whether
you've chosen a particular major or not, you will receive advising specific
to your area of interest. Our staff wishes to make your transition
as smooth as possible, and your Advising Day is one of the first steps in this
process.

The Words of Our Students
"What I enjoyed most about Advising and Registration Day was being able to get a better look at the college and the staff that I will have contact with. It helped me feel more comfortable with starting college because I knew more of what to expect and what was expected of me."
