Support Services

The primary mission of First Year & Transition Programs at SCSU, including ACE, is to help facilitate student success through a wide range of academic support services within the University College and beyond.

ACE students will benefit from support from:

ACE staff can also assist new students in securing assistance from Student Disability Services, Multicultural Student Services, Counseling and Psychological Services and the multitude of services available to all SCSU students.

Overnight@Orientation
SCSU offers an overnight option for new ACE & Honors students traveling to campus for their Advising & Registration Day. Two dates are available: Monday, June 2 through Tuesday, June 3 and Monday, June 9 through Tuesday, June 10, 2014. ACE students are not required to participate in the overnight program, but we encourage attendance.

Students will be paired with another student in Case-Hill Residence Hall for the overnight experience. Parents and family members can choose to attend with their student, and experience the campus tours, catered dinner, and meetings with ACE/Honors staff and advising time. After those meetings, guests should say goodbye to their students as we move into our social activities.

On Tuesday morning, students will check-out of their residence hall, have breakfast in the campus dining hall (Garvey Commons) and then participate in the Advising & Registration Day program with the students they met during the Overnight.
