Academics: Colleges & Schools

As you build your world at St. Cloud State University, we encourage you to explore the academic offerings available through our colleges and schools.

Business: The Herberger Business School offers 10 majors and a Master of Business Administration program. lt is one of only four accredited business colleges in Minnesota.

Education: The School of Education prepares high-quality teachers, administrators, counselors, scholars and other school and community professionals. A doctoral program in higher education administration is producing the next generation of great leaders.

Health and Human Services: Member departments of the School of Health and Human Services are Nursing Sciences, Social Work, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Kinesiology, Health and Physical Education, Counseling and Community Psychology, and Medical Lab, Nuclear and Radiologic Technology. The Gerontology program has three minor courses of study.

Liberal Arts: The College of Liberal Arts educates students in communication, visual arts, performing arts, philosophies, ideologies, history, culture and more.

Arts: Housed within the College of Liberal Arts, the School of the Arts includes three departments: Art, Music, and Theatre and Film Studies.

Public Affairs: The departments of Geography, Planning and Community Development, Criminal Justice Studies, Economics and Political Science comprise the School of Public Affairs.

Science and Engineering: The College of Science and Engineering provides learning and research opportunities in 12 accredited departments. Check out the new graduate programs in regulatory affairs and services and applied clinical research.

Computing, Engineering and Environment: The School of Computing, Engineering and Environment is housed within the College of Science and Engineering. Member departments are Earth and Atmospheric Science, Computer Science and Information Technology, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Environmental and Technology Studies, and Electrical and Computer Engineering.
