Testing services are available on campus to help students determine course placement and admittance into programs, and also to online students needing to take proctored exams.
The Atwood Testing Center provides services to students, staff, faculty and the St. Cloud and surrounding communities by administering exams required for admission to undergraduate and graduate school, admittance into major programs, for-credit exams, professional certifications and various licensure programs.
The ACCUPLACER Assessment Test is a placement system for entering first year students. It helps determine which courses are appropriate for new students and whether college preparatory classes are needed. Students are tested on reading, English skills, and math.
A proctored exam is an exam that is administered by an individual (proctor) who supervises the student while they are taking the exam. The proctor’s function is to ensure the integrity and security of the exam in a secure environment.
