Small Town Charm, Big City Conveniences

St. Cloud is close to major metropolitan area, yet just minutes from small towns, big lakes and lush, hardwood forests.

St. Cloud is:

  • Located about an hour northwest of Minneapolis-St. Paul.
  • Situated in a metropolitan area that includes the cities of Waite Park, Sauk Rapids, Sartell, Rockville and St. Augusta.
  • Named by founder John Wilson for the Paris suburb of Saint-Cloud.
  • Proud of its historic central business district, which has brick buildings built between the 1880s and 1930s.
