St. Cloud State University started institutional
strategic planning in May of 1996. Upon receiving the recommendations
of the 1998-1999 Strategic Planning Committee Report, Academic Affairs directed the colleges to start college-level
strategic planning based upon the five university strategic
planning themes: academic distinction, service community,
diversity and social justice, information technology, and
external relationships. The first draft of the College of
Science and Engineering (COSE) Strategic Plan was completed
spring semester 2000 and the final version was presented to
the college the fall semester of 2000.
